千里送鵝毛，禮輕情意重。 這並非強調禮物一定要便宜，而是送禮更重誠意。一般的考量是投其所好，通過平日的觀察及了解，知道對方所喜歡的，或所需的。只要對方收到合心意的禮物，那就是最好的禮物了！另一考量是獨樂樂不如眾樂樂，把自己喜歡的、覺得好的和他人分享，可能對方會因此而認識新事物並喜歡上它。

本店主要售賣與中華文化或教育相關之禮品。這一些禮品,民俗古風色彩濃厚，常採用有吉祥寓意的圖案來傳遞人們對美滿和諧生活的願望或追求。送禮是為了祝福他人，這一些禮品的特色豈不就符合了送禮的意義嗎？另外，中國歷史悠久、注重傳承，許多傳統工藝經過漫長時間的考驗,是人類文明的瑰寶。

一年內免不了要送禮，新年、生日、遷居、結婚等等；當你送禮給他人時，別忘了偶爾要犒賞一下自己。

Sincerity in preparing gift weighs much more than its price.  It does not mean that gift must be low in price, but sincerity is the priority.  Common consideration in choosing a gift is hit on what one like, this is only possible if you are a good observant, aware of what the person like or need.  If the person receive the desired gift, that would be the best gift!  Another consideration would be sharing what you like, what you think is good, the receiver may know new thing and love it.

Our shop is mainly selling chinese cultural & educational related gifts.  In chinese traditional drawing, carved ornament etc artwork, it’s full of folk custom and antiquity, it always adopt auspicious implicated motives to transmit people’s seek and pursue towards happy and harmony life.  Giving away gift is to send blessing, don’t you think this feature will say on behalf you?  Furthermore, China is a long history country and emphasizes on inheriting, throughout the years, the crafts skill is being improved and refined, left to be the treasure of human beings.  

There are many occasions in a year that you need to prepare gifts, such as new year, birthday, house warming, wedding etc.  While you are busy giving gift to others, don’t forget to put yourself in the list.

印章

漢字是迄今為止連續使用時間最長的主要文字，也是上古時期各大文字體系中唯一傳承至今的文字。

看了這方印章，才發現除了'坊'字，其餘的筆畫蠻多的。’坊'字裡的'方'稍微移上，彭慶勤先生說如果‘坊'字不這樣處理，會被其他三個字的力量給排斥，要謝謝他費心設計。

The Shop Naming: Feather Gift Shop

Feather Gift Shop is adapted from the shop chinese name ‘Swan Feather Gift Shop’.

There is a story recorded by Dynasty Ming Xu Wei.  During Dynasty Tang, one of its vassal countries assigned an envoy to give a special swan to the Emperor as tribute.  On the way, while the envoy tried to clean up he swan, it flew away, left only a feather.  The envoy had no choice, but continue on his journey.  Upon seeing the Emperor, he explained the incident, apart from the only feather, he attached a poem.  The poem says ‘I was bringing the swan from far away, as tribute to Dynasty Tang, however, the swan flew off accidentally, I was very sad.  Emperor, can you forgive me?  Though the feather is light, but my sincerity of travelling long distance to present the swan as tibute, weigh much more.

After reading the poem, the Emperor was touched by his sincerity, he didn’t punish him, on the contrary, treat him well & give away local special product as return gift.

The proverb ‘thousand miles give away goose feather’ was then used widely, it means even though the gift is low in value, but the sincerely worth much more.

店名緣起——鵝絨禮坊

據明朝徐渭《路史》所載，唐貞觀年間大理藩屬命特使緬伯高把一隻天鵝進貢給唐朝天子。緬伯高途經沔陽湖，欲為天鵝潔淨一番，詎料天鵝振翼高飛，不知所終，只遺下一根羽毛。緬伯高無可奈何，只好獻上羽毛，細說原委，並賦詩曰：

將鵝貢唐朝，山高路遠遙。沔陽湖失去，倒地哭號號。上覆唐天子，可饒緬伯高？禮輕人意重，千里送鵝毛。 

唐太宗閱後，大為感動，不但沒有降罪於緬伯高，反而命人備酒善加款待，並回贈中原特產。 

後來“千里鵝毛”用以比喻從遠方帶來的禮物，雖然只是薄禮，情意卻很深厚。

宋歐陽修《梅聖俞寄銀杏》一詩曰：“鵝毛贈千里，所重以其人。鴨腳雖百個，得之誠可珍”。詩中所指的“鴨腳”並非鴨子的腳，而是銀杏的果實。銀杏葉由於形如鴨掌，故又名鴨掌葉。梅聖俞即詩人梅堯臣，家住宣城，與歐陽修素為知心之交。宣城盛產銀杏，梅堯臣於是採下銀杏送予歐陽修。歐陽修收到後，賦詩答謝，表達了他對梅堯臣這份情誼的重視。銀杏雖非貴重之物，卻因當中蘊含的深情厚意而變得珍貴。

鵝毛贈千里，所重以其人。
鴨腳雖百個，得之誠可珍。
問予得之誰，詩老遠且貧。
霜野摘林實，京師寄時新。
封包雖甚微，採掇皆躬親。
物賤以人貴，人賢棄而淪。
開緘重嗟惜，詩以報殷勤。
